Ruffle Couture Apron Giveaway

Wearing Apron

I have something pretty special to share with you today. I’m very excited about this, and I think you will be too.

My friend Anna recently started her own small business. I know Anna from high school. We never hung out on the weekends or anything, but we had friends in common and shared the stage in our school’s production of Into the Woods. She played Cinderella—a role that, if you met her, you’d realize was sort of perfect. She’s a beautiful blond with classic sensibilities, but she brings a sort of fun, spunky, Anna-ness to everything she does. She has a smile that crinkles her nose and an infectious laugh that, even though I haven’t seen her in almost a decade, I still distinctly know.

Through the magic of the internet, I’ve seen Anna raise an adorable little girl (who is a mini version of her in the best of ways), get engaged, radiate at her beautiful autumn wedding, and welcome daughter number two to the world. I also read along as she started a blog about her life, her girls, and her passion for Target DIY projects. Through this blog I watched her newly discovered love of sewing ruffled throw pillows for her home grow into something bigger and lead to the opening of her Etsy shop.

Friends, I present to you Ruffle Couture.

Apron 2

Anna makes and sells everything from headbands to coffee sleeves to some of the cutest scarves I’ve ever seen. Oh, and aprons. Flirty, ruffled, and totally adorable aprons. Recently, she was sweet enough to make one just for me. She knows how much time I spend in the kitchen and thought it might make my time there just a little more fun. And you know what? It has.

I mean, how cute is this? The patterns work so well together and I love the quality of the fabric. I’m also quite proud to say that, though I’ve only had mine a couple days, it already has muffin batter on it.

And here’s the part where it gets exciting for you. Anna’s gift has inspired me to give something back. Once I received the apron and saw how lovely it was in person, I knew that there was no way I could keep all this joy to myself. So, I will be giving away an original Ruffle Couture apron to one very lucky reader. But it gets even better….

When Anna made my apron, I told her I loved blue. From that one suggestion, her creative mind crafted the final product that you see here. Anna has kindly agreed to custom-make the apron for the winner of this giveaway. If there’s a color, color combination, or even a theme that you love, she’ll translate that into a cute, functional accessory for your time in the kitchen.

i love baking my own gluten free breads — they're tastier and healthier than store-bought varieties, and i can do my own add-ins like raisins, nuts, dried figs, etc. this apron is just what i need to wipe my hands when baking!

I love to make anything with pasta! There are so many ways to change the meal with just one or two ingredients! The apron is so beautiful! I have always wanted one but I do not want a generic one, like the ones I see at the store. I once got a snowman one for Christmas, but that was hideous as well:) I always imagined when I was younger being one of those housewives with a kid on each hip, her apron on and a 5 course meal on the table when the husband got home! minus the 5 course meal and apron and I got it! he he I wonder if she could make one with coupons on it! That would be awesome!

I love to cook and bake with my 2 lil boys. I would love this gorgeous apron in any color cuz I only have one apron and whatever kid I happen to be cooking with that day gets it. We also enjoy putting together jars of baking supplies for gifts :)

Let's see- my favorite food to make is Indian. I think Chicken Makhani and Idlis are my favorite! And I am not from India. There is a great website that teaches you… I think it's called showmethecurry.com or something. They have videos on youtube that show you as well! I am a stay at home Mom, and I homeschool 4 of my 5 kiddos. (the other one is too little) We can't gave gluten, corn, soy, or dairy and so I make everything from scratch. We eat very well thanks to people like you who share fine recipes! I always have an apron on at home, and I have longed for cute ones that are fun to wear! I would love to have a purple one, since it is my favorite color!

From a proud mom!I am writing a comment so my daughter Jessica will be the winner of this beautiful apron. She is an amazing girl! She loves to cook and I don't even think she owns an apron! Her and her husband have been married for 3 years, to her 'Navy boy' and they both work full time and go to school full time not to mention their dog who needs lots of love and attention. Her dad and I watch him when they need us to. When she has time, she is always baking, cooking, and also making her own pasta! She loves to cook for anyone and I know she would show off the apron to all of her guests.

Anna's aprons are so cute! Anna is so cute herself! I love cooking in my kitchen…some things turn out, some things are ok. But I can say that each and every time, I successfully make a gigantic mess. From the cupboards, to the stove, to the floor, and don't forget my clothes, evidence of my cooking/baking is ample!A blue apron that is very busy like yours would work well to hide my mess!!

I need an apron so I can cook for my husband-to-be without wiping my hands on my sweatpants. He loves me. But not that much. - Rita Ziade

I love to be in my kitchen cooking or baking or helping my children with homework. I enjoy starting with fresh ingredients and chopping with a sharp knife and a clean cutting board. I can chop veggies and end up with sizzling fajitas and homeade salsa or slice up kiwis and strawberries and end up snacking on kiwifruit muffins and strawberry soup. When I think of my mom in an apron, I have a feeling of love and admiration surge through me. She always wore one as she was dishing up love. I'd love something bright and sassy, in the layered ruffles.

Hello MRS. Britt! This is Liv who lives with Torben in chilly La Crosse. I hope the sun is shining in New York today like it is in dear old WI. My favorite thing to make is soup. A tasty spoonful of soup is like a hug to your insides. It warms, soothes and heals. Whether I am sauteing garlic and paprika for a simple soup de ajo or chopping veggies for hours to make a filling minestrone or opening can after can of beans, tomatoes and corn to make "Cheater's Chili", my excitement to see how the flavors meld is equal to my joy in consuming the first spoonful. Soup is simply splendid.I would need a bright and cheery apron to chase away the winter blues. A friendly yellow, perhaps. (also, when are you coming back to Wisconsin? We would love to host you two!)

I love to cook and bake, I love to see the smiles on my family and friends faces when I present them with a fresh batch of cookies, or hear my partner grumble with delight at the latest roast Sunday feast! Making people happy with kitchen delights is why I love to be in the kitchen so much. These aprons are delightful, I love the blue one pictured in your blog.

I love to bake. I'm gluten free but learned to bake gluten-free :-) My favorite thing to bake is bread. Quick breads come in second after yeast bread. I enjoy cooking altogether and am always throwing something together :-) My favorite color combination is purple and green. My favorite color is purple :-)
